About the Appraiser

Jane Hancock
Certified Quilt Appraiser

Jane Hancock is a certified appraiser of personal property, specializing in quilts and textiles. Over the past 13 years, she has appraised many quilts and textiles, antique, old, and brand new. Jane has lectured and presented workshops about quilt history and quilt appraisals at many quilt guilds and bees in Texas and the Greater Houston area. She is a member of the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild, Greater Houston Quilt Guild, the International Quilter’s Society, the American Quilter’s Society, and the American Quilt Studies Group. Jane is certified as an appraiser of personal property by the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. She has chosen to specialize in appraising quilts because of her interest in history, fiber arts, and quilting.

About the Appraisals
Appraisals will be handwritten on Ms. Hancock's letterhead and given to the client at the end of the appraisal appointment.
The cost is $40 per quilt. For multiple quilts, please schedule separate appointment times.
Appointments will be scheduled every 30 minutes.
